JRPGs give no love for the UK
Enough praise and down to the situation at hand, the UK just doesn't receive any of these games until much after their Japanese and American releases, I'm still desperatly awaiting for the release date of Shin Megami Tensai 4 and I can't even import it due to the 3DS being region locked, region locking is another really annoying thing (but that's for another post)
Matter of the fact is that I'm really curious as to why we are getting it so late? Great Britian must appear as Average Britain in the eyes of Atlus and other JRPG game makers like Rising Star games...Still waiting for Rune Factory 4 guys...well my dreams are yet to be furfilled and I shall remain envious of my American and Japanese friends until these companies realise there is a good market for their games over in the UK too. Well anywho this was more of a rant in order to vent my frustration and who knows this may become a recurring thing, weekly rant has a nice ring to it. Farewell and happy gaming friends.

GTAV Stimulus package being distributed
As many of you know there were many problems with the GTAV online, whether it be your characters being deleted, losing levels or losing money. Most people were faced with these problems and there were a lucky few that were able to avoid it. With the new Stimulus package bringing an update to players games, many of these issues have been fixed and people are even getting a nice sum of $500,000 in game of course. Do not fear if your friends get their money before you as Rockstar has assured gamers that they will receive it, all we can do now is wait and hope no more problems occur. Unfortunately still no news on when heists will arrive but I assure you that I'll make a post as soon as I find out. Farewell and happy gaming.

Etrian Odyssey IV
As previously mentioned I recently purchased a new game, that game would be Etrian Odyssey IV and here are my first impressions of the game. Firstly the presentation is superb, mixing beautiful 2D sprites with 3D models happens so seamlessly, the 3D models are used for the enemies whereas the 2D sprites are for NPC's and your own characters, in which you will always have a party of five members. There are seven starting classes to chose from with more unlock-able during your time through the game.
The game is a first person dungeon crawling, turn based combat RPG, it's not for the lighthearted gamer this is due to the game requiring many hours and also a quite large amount of grinding as the game is rather challenging. Exclusive to the Etrian Odyssey series (from what I know) is an interesting gimmick of allowing the player to draw the map as they explore, you can annotate and draw on the grid which is located on the touch screen, this is a pretty interesting gimmick and if you be lazy with your map drawing it could even cost you your life. Challenging it may be but this is what makes the game really fun in some sort of masochistic way, then again this is coming from a guy who made it his goal to obtain 100% completion in Dark Souls.
The music, oh my gosh the music. The soundtrack of this game is excellent, every song played fits the situation you find your party in so excellently, ranging from terrifying scores during boss encounters to beautiful calm melodies as you explore new surroundings. The sound track itself is worthy of a listen even if the game doesn't interest you or if you're in the no 3DS corner.
The plot so far seems some what decent although I cannot really comment on the plot too much as I've spent most of my time doing side quests, gathering items and grinding my way up the levels, essentially explorers from far and wide have come to Tharsis as the count has issued his support to help the explorers guild find the roots of the huge tree Yggdrasil (a word in which I still struggle to pronounce) as for centuries the tree has been visible and the roots are in a far off unexplored land. That's the the main premise of the plot that I can say without giving too much away.
So there it goes friends I hope you enjoyed my official longest post on this blog. Farewell and happy gaming friends.
